Re: [ruby-talk:9718] Can someone tell the the scoop on Mac ports

MacOS (not X) port of Ruby, by Hisakuni FUJIMOTO
  http://www.imasy.or.jp/~hisa/ruby/macruby.html

  * Ruby 1.1b7. Not benn updated since Dec.1999
  * Highly experimental. It may crash and sometimes freeze the OS,
even with the sample scripts included in the Ruby distribution.

| Not being a Mac user, I'm a bit confused over the status of Mac
| ports. The FAQ says Ruby runs on the Mac, and I know that Ruby
| compiles under OSX, but what about earlier versions? In particular:
|
| 1. How do I compiler Ruby for earlier Macs?
| 2. Are precompiled Mac binaries available?
|
| I'll add the answers to the FAQ.
|
|
| Thanks
