Allow me to add another dead one:

Topaz: http://topaz.sourceforge.net/

It was an attempt to rewrite Perl in C++. If it had
succeeded it would have been Perl 6. Unfortunately
a piece of overloaded Perl syntax (namely pseudo-
hashes) proved to be a serious implementation problem
and the project was aborted. Pseudo-hashes are now
being removed from the language.

Cheers,
Ben
