This is what cygwin says:

13:28:30 [temp]: mkfifo XXXXXX
mkfifo: cannot create fifo ``XXXXXX'': Function not implemented

And I thought there were named pipes on Windows.  Hm...  Nobu, what do you
say?  Usually you know these things... :-)
