The Discovery Channel has Shark Week, and 
I have Ruby I/O Week...

Another question: Can someone give me an 
example of using the forms where a subprocess
is spawned using a string with "|" at the front?
(See The Book, p. 329) Does this automatically 
create a pipe??

Same for the "|-" variant that spawns another Ruby
interpreter... how/why/when would you use this?

Sorry for my high specific gravity, but I don't get
all these details yet.
