In addition to registry.rb, Ruby supports COM, which let's you use native
Windows technologies for the task, if you like:
-------------

require 'win32ole'

REG_BASE = "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Acme, Inc.\\Settings\\"

if __FILE__ == $0 then
  shell = WIN32OLE.new( "WScript.Shell" )
  shell.RegWrite REG_BASE + "Foo", "Ruby Rocks"
  regitem = shell.RegRead REG_BASE + "Foo"
  puts regitem #=> Ruby Rocks
  shell = nil
end

--------------------------------
Or something like that...

| Does Ruby come out of the box with ways to handle the Windows registry?
| If not, is there a good add-on that adds the functionality?
