Many mailing lists have subscribe/unsubscribe information in a footer at the end of every message that is posted through the list. The ruby-talk list management program might be configurable to create such a footer (I have never used any of these programs, so I don't know how this would be done). The message id which is currently in the subject could be placed within such a footer, producing something that looked vaguely like the following: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ruby-talk:XXXX] ruby-talk mailing list To unsubscribe, send "unsubscribe Your-First-Name Your-Last-Name" in the body of a message to the address <ruby-talk-ctl / netlab.co.jp"> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Or something like that. I hope that made sense. My coffee hasn't had much effect on me today :) -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brian Wisti brian / coolnamehere.com http://www.coolnamehere.com
