I've taken to using the single word "nuby" to convey the entire
concept "Ruby newbie". Sort of like "Dolfan" for "Dolphins fan" --
except with nuby, the phonic match is a little *too* good... so in
speech it might have to be disambiguated with an adjective.

Now, having phrases like "silly nuby" in circulation might cause
problems, so Marc's choice of noun was a good one. However, in most
cases (including Marc's) the best thing is probably just to embrace
one's nubiness [nubitude? nubity?] and describe oneself simply as a
nuby. (If you're being silly, someone will tell you :-)
