You missed ObjectiveC.  It's a rather nice language, fast (it's just C,
really, with some OO), and you can script it with Ruby.  It runs on your
platforms.  Use Ruby where speed doesn't matter and for prototyping,
migrate to Objective-C for speed.  Call C functions from ObjC.  Best of
all worlds.
