Which got me thinking about processes, mechanisms, and so on for such 
things. 

Do you think there might be some way to use a/the Ruby Wiki as a
collaborative input queue to the FAQ and to somehow make the FAQ
something a read-only backbone or top-level branch of the Wiki?
