hm...haven't really decided what i like best:
	let ruby_no_identifiers = 1
	let ruby_no_expensive = 1
or
	unlet! ruby_no_identifiers
	unlet! ruby_no_expensive
the first has many merits, but almost everything is highlighted, and
that can be rather annoying.  the second highlights a lot less, which
means it's hard to tell differences between object variables and local.
