That's great news. It was never clear to me whether anyone seriously 
thought that was a good idea or was going to do anything about it.

You've gotta be kidding!!!!

 That seems preternaturally pedantic, not to mention preposterously 
punctilious--so much so that I'm almost automatically aroused to fits of 
alliterative apoplexy. 

The first 200 returns from Google show that both UNIX and Unix forms are 
very common. Ditto for LISP and Lisp. And as for FORTRAN and Fortran, the 
all caps form is on the endangered species list. Even my spelling checker 
doesn't think Unix is uncouth.
