I am looking at the possibility of writing a wrapper for a C
application that utilizes pthreads. I have found some stuff online
that indicates that it is a bad idea to wrap anything that touches
pthreads. Is this still the case? Running with single threads is not
an option. Is there any other way to wrap up pthreads that doesn't
fowl up Ruby?

Best,

Dave
