I've tried emacs before got bogged down with the step learning curve on
becoming efficient with it. I kind of wanted to attempt to get away from any
sort of steep learning curve. I also wanted this to be fully written in Ruby
- - largely, I want to do this project for several reasons:

A) I don't think one exists, at least not for Ruby.
B) I want one.
C) I want an environment that is as close to something I would want if I was
doing eXtreme programming.
D) Why not? :-)
