No, it doesn't matter.

It would matter if the numbers produced by Kernel.rand were not
uniformly distributed in [0,1), but they are (for all realistic
definitions of 'are') so it doesn't matter.

The only way earlier objects could be favoured is for Kernel.rand to
produce smaller numbers more often than big ones, which it doesn't do.
