What seems odd is that I don't have this entry. I have
...ROOT\.rb\rb\ShellNew
with some random default value in it that says "value not set".

I'm reluctant to modify the registry until I back it up and read the
Black Registry Book again.

get rid of the other stuff?

I'm going semiOK without, as I have found that I can run Ruby under
Textpad and capture things, and of course RubyWin isn't bad (except
for that bad idea on double-click), so I'm proceeding well. Just
confused by the odd registry setup.
