Hi. This is a long shot in the dark, blindfolded and walking backwards, but here goes: I need to anonymize and analyze a lot of IRC logs as part of my thesis research. I found some (non-Ruby) tools that makes pretty statistics of logs, but that isn't too useful. As for anonymizing, I haven't found anything yet, and this is the most pressing need. I figure it won't be too hard to hack something together in Ruby, but on the off chance someone else has done some brainwork on the issue already, I'll try that "work smarter, not harder" thing I hear so much about. I've looked inside rica and rice so far, but they appear to be more geared towards parsing what comes raw from the IRC server. -- (\[ Kent Dahl ]/)_ _~_ __[ http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~kentda/ ]___/~ ))\_student_/(( \__d L b__/ NTNU - graduate engineering - 5. year ) ( \__\_õüõß/__/ ) _)Industrial economics and technological management( \____/_öß\____/ (____engineering.discipline_=_Computer::Technology___)
