I'm very glad to hear about receptiveness.  There's a lot of it at
this time of year, it seems (viz. the recent effort to create a
wide-distribution newsletter).

A scripting-languages newsgroup combining insights from Ruby, the Ps,
etc. would be a nice idea, I think.  (Maybe it exists already...)

To reciprocate the receptiveness, we should ensure we don't go
overboard in /P[:alpha:]{3,5}/ bashing, not that we have for a while.
I promise not to start anything :)

If Phil's receptive Perl Mongers dropped in here and gave us some
insights, we'd be richer for it.
