Well, to search for stuff that doesn't predate the comp.lang.ruby <-> ruby-talk ML gateway, you could use the deja power search page: http://www.deja.com/home_ps.shtml Just put comp.lang.ruby in the Forum entry field and plug whatever is relevant to your search in the other fields. After you have pulled up a specific entry, it is often useful to click on ">> Thread" (toward the upper left hand corner of the frame), which will show the thread tree, and back on individual entries will then show handy "<< previous in thread next in thread >>" navigation links (toward the upper right hand corner of the frame). -- Conrad Schneiker (This note is unofficial and subject to improvement without notice.)
