Save the date ("last_activity_date", or "creation_date" are good candidates, depending on the definition of "new") of the last seen item, and compare it to the dates in the re-fetched feed. Any thing that's newer than the date saved is new. No diffing necessary. :) -- Phillip Gawlowski gplus.to/phgaw | twitter.com/phgaw A method of solution is perfect if we can forsee from the start, and even prove, that following that method we shall attain our aim. -- Leibniz
