I have developped a "big" soft in python and that made me knows it
well...
Now, I'm learning ruby and I like both...
What I like in ruby is the all-object like smalltalk (that I learned
too).
What I like in Python, is the "self" argument who can be helpful to do a
"beautiful code" in certain case...
Maybe Python have a better base of code-examples, 3rd-parties contribs,
etc...

For GUI, ruby seems to have cool links : Tk, Cocoa and more...
But I didn't see a high-level toolkit for RubyTk for example, like Pmw
in python which is as useful as it is a good code sample.

But my knowlegde of Ruby is not big I have just started last week and
program my own tree classes "just to see"...
