Thanks.  Let me rephrase my statement: I believe XML is not a good choice 
as a programming syntax, whether the programming style is OO or FP.  XML is 
great at providing metadata for content; this does not mean that it is 
easily parsed by the human brain, or is an efficient or intuitive way of 
laying out programming logic.
