Hello Alex, well you maybe heard about OpenAL project (same as OpenGL, just the 'A' stands for Audio). Ruby openAL : http://rubyforge.org/projects/ruby-openal/ OpenAL itself (important because of documentation): http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/default.aspx I did not tried it.
