Hey matz. Thanks for your help. Everything is within ioloop.
bin/xmppd:20 is `XMPPd.instance.ioloop`
When I don't use the timers, this doesn't happen. In fact, it doesn't
happen until I use that specific Timer to do connection timeouts in
lib/xmppd.rb.
