I should mention that www.lightspeedhost.com (the company I thinking of hosting with) uses the Ensim virtual server package (see www.ensim.com) and is running Redhat 6.1 in each virtual server. Ensim has a very nice web-based administration pack for configuring most common components, but for the hardcore, there's always telnet with root access. The software that is preinstalled (remember you can install anything you like, yourself) includes (this is straight off of the lightspeed website): Web Hosting Apache Web Server Secure Web Server (SSL) Web Log Analyzer FrontPage 2000 Extensions DNS/BIND Name Server Administation Appliance Administrator Site Administrator Control Panels Site User(s) Control Panels E-Mail POP3/IMAP Server Sendmail SMTP Server Vacation Autoresponder Autoresponder & Aliases Spam Filters Majordomo Mailing List Server Server Access ProFTP server Telnet Server Web Utilities Lynx Text-based browser Melange Chat Server WebCal Web-based Calender WWWBoard Discussion board Scripting Capabilities CGI-BIN Python PHP4 ASP Perl Streaming Quicktime Server Database MySQL
