I just moved to VA (Annandale) from OR (Corvallis). The weather here
has been pretty screwy; certainly not what I'm used to. Seems like
Oregonian's take traffic and weather for granted; the traffic isn't an
issue (unless you're driving in Portland rush-hour traffic), and the
weather, well it's going to rain. But VA is all screwy: the traffic
jams up all over the place so it takes two hours to cover 15 miles of
freeway (eg, the beltway at 5pm), and the weather predictions are always
wrong for anything over two days.
