hello. i am new to ruby and just joined the list. i come from a perl background and was hoping i could pick ruby up rather quickly. i heard that ruby is very popular in japan. i plan on moving to japan for a year or two after i graduate and was wondering if you guys thought it would be wise to learn ruby in order to be able to get a fresh new job. is it really _that_ popular? if someone in japan wouldn't mind would you post some urls for some good job databases in japan? i have been unable to find any and would like to do some research before jumping in. -- tom carlile mugoi / mail.utexas.edu professional systems wrangler http://sacrilege.org
