Oh, RD is a markup language, and RDtool is an application to format RD documents. I agree that sometimes RD is not suitable to write restricted-purpose documents, such as interface document. But I like RD's readability. Interface documents should have such readability. I like Andy's proposal [ruby-talk:24608] (and Dave's *bold* and _italic_). It's like RD, and some syntax are simplified (ex. omit '((' and '))', and make DescList's symbol move to after words). IMO, this simplification is good for this purpose.
