These are probably ruby-gnome entries or something.

CVS is sneaky and will bond to a current CVSROOT entry in preference to
your command line. Or something.

Go to a new directory with a different parent, and beam down the CVS
head from http://sourceforge.net/projects/ruedit

When I started this thread I copied in the README from the project - the
one that assumed you already obtained the project.

I will ensure from work (where my platform does not suck) that I can
follow my own README ;-)
