I'm sure some of you are participating in this year's National Novel Writing
Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org). I've taken the liberty to build a simple
interface to their Word Count API, allowing the user to download the current
wordcount, name, and wordcount history for any NaNoWriMo participant.

The gem is available here: http://rubyforge.org/projects/wordcount/

I've included two little examples, one of which is using _why's Camping
framework and Gruff to produce some pretty graphs.

You can see a live example here (http://www.styledbits.com/nanowrimo), but
it is currently blank until the contest starts on Nov 1.

If you aren't currently participating, give the site a read over.

Happy novel writing,

Michael
