Matz, there may be some people ready to work for you... I was hoping to announce this later when we had something working, but since this was brought up... I'm currently mentoring a Masters intern to work on a Ruby PocketPC port (currently named "PocketRuby"). It's been an interesting learning experience for both of us so far, since we're not experienced with CE. The planned deliverables of the masters project are a Ruby interpreter and a PocketPC development tool similar to irb but with some GUI features. For now, we're focusing on a PocketPC (CE 3.0) port for a StrongARM device (iPAQ). If all goes well, we'll release everything to the public to enjoy. Ironically, when I read this thread, we've just successfully completed a very, very raw compile of the Ruby source with a modified win32 Makefile and stubs galore to build with the Embedded Visual C++ compiler. It doesn't run yet. So all of this is still work in progress. We haven't checked out the Python or Perl CE offerings yet. Probably we will check them out, as suggested earlier. Anyways, maybe we can work together on this. Let me know if you're interested. Li-Te ---------- Li-Te Cheng Research Scientist Lotus Research
