Why do people keep on presenting choices as if they are mutually
exclusive?

Given my choice of beer, chocolate, ice cream and peanuts I'd take them
all :*)  The more different languages you know the more you are likely to
see techniques you might never have thought of, and the more likely you
are to pick a tool appropriate to the task and environment you're
confronted with...
