You don't have to ;-) or is Apache SOAP 100% compliant? No it isn't!

XML-RPC specification was not changed since 10/16/99.
All extensions, such as Intospection or MultiCall are just
XML-RPC service handler with a standardized name (e.g. system.multiCall).
