I whish I had but I don't.

The following (bad, I admit) hack worked on my Win2k system but didn't do
well with Win98.
I made a backup of the the complete i386-cygwin from an earlier version
(1.6.2) from the Win installer
any copied that over the one from 1.6.4.
This did work (and up to now didn't show side effects...), but it's not a
clean solution I admit.
