I'm certain those would be. Moreover, 'orthonormal' is more mathematical
word than 'orthogonal'. (I don't know whether it is popular word or not.)

In addition, '正規直行' is typo of '正規直交(orthonormal)', so it has
been translated as 'regular direct'. Since there are many homophonic words,
we often see Kana-Kanji conversion errors at use of IME. So people suddenly
grins for weird words written by themselves. Ah! :-)
