I feel a little embarassed asking again but two problems persist :
/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.6/DBD/Mysql/Mysql.rb:46:in `connect': must
specify database (DBI::InterfaceError)

the line is :
dbh = DBI.connect("dbi:Mysql:test","","")

and

ruby setup.rb dryrun - hangs.
