Probably some garbage like \342\231\245 that got interpreted as a
UTF-8 string.

$ cat heart.rb
def γω‘¦(name)
   puts "I γω‘¦ you, #{name}!"
end

γω‘¦ ARGV.shift

$ ruby -Ku heart.rb Ruby
I γω‘¦ you, Ruby!
