Ah, that's just because I'm not smart enough to handle meta. I'm not
good at higher order thingy, really.
But look at the bright side. My stupidity is a source of Ruby's good
attributes. If I were smart like others, Ruby would be something
totaly different, like Scheme, OCaml, or Python, maybe.
Note that I'm not agaist making Ruby in Ruby in any way. I'd even
like to help people working on it. But I don't think I can keep
motivation for it by myself.
