The first alpha release of RubyDoc is available. It currently generates text
or basic HTML pages from your Ruby souce files. RubyDoc's commenting style
is similar to Javadoc, and (IMHO) much cleaner than the Perlesque =begin,
=end blocks. Give it a whirl and drop me a line!

An excerpt from Generator.rb:
##
# Documentation and Output Generators.
#
# @version $Revision: 1.5 $
# @author $Author: john $
#

require 'Comment'

##
# An abstract base class for output generators.
# Decendants of this class generate the actual text,
# HTML or other files.
#
class OutputGenerator

  ##
  # Pass a comment to be formatted and sent to the output file.
  #
  # @param cmnt A Comment.
  #
  def output( cmnt )

Notice the comments are right next to whatever they apply to, and since they
use #'s, they can be easily ignored.

Regards,
  JJ
