sorry - I missed the original posting.

My results:

Averages over 83 runs, CPU  2.4GHz / 1GB, algorithm (without IO) 4 lines:
calculation  18.59 s
printing     15.55 s
total        34.14 s
filesize     49444596 +/- 852 (standard deviation)

I wonder what other people find for filesize and standard deviation?
