Have you set the following paths:

D:\code\ruby\bin>set RUBY_TCL_DLL=D:\ruby\tcl\bin\tcl83.dll

D:\code\ruby\bin>set RUBY_TK_DLL=D:\ruby\tcl\bin\tk83.dll

D:\code\ruby\bin>set TCL_LIBRARY=D:\ruby\tcl\lib\tcl8.3

irb is working fine. I dont know what rd2 is????
