Hi, all

I am new to ruby, I really like the language and I want to write a program
that converts some almost plain text files to other formats, including
HTML, XML, RTF, LaTeX. (a bit like aptconvert, but in ruby).

But I have a little question: Can I build ARGF-like objects myself? Like:

fileNames = ["file1.txt", "file2.txt", "file3.txt"]
f = File.new(fileNames)
string = f.read
f.close

Or do I have to construct something like that myself?

Thanks,
