In English, the books by Sobell

	A Practical Guide to the Unix System	(BSD UNIX)
	Unix System V: A Practical Guide
	A Practical Guide to Linux
	A Practical Guide to Solaris

are good sources of information for users new to UNIX.

I can't recommend any on-line resources, but your favorite Internet
search engine should be able to find many candidates.
