I have a large mail folder full of data.

I would like to extract data from messages
(I can craft a regular expression to find
the data).

The question is should I be using some
Ruby library that can parse the mail format
because I also want the date of the message?

Or should I simply split on "From:  ... ", and
then iterate on each message...
