While I think many of your points are valid, this one is not. I feel we should definitely keep a separation of Third-Party APIs and Core/Standard Library Ruby Docs. Those libraries do not ship with Ruby and thus the documentation should not be mixed in with libraries that do, where it could cause a lot of confusion. James Edward Gray II
