Subject: Re: Any FAQ requests, updates, ...

   Hi:)

I have not read the Ruby FAQ yet but I just wanna make some
suggestions. If it's there already, just disregard this... If it's
not, well, I hope it's there:)

   My suggestion or probably requests:
Is it possible if it can be added in the Ruby FAQ more examples like how
to print columns(fields), print particular lines, etc.

Maybe add more examples comparing how to do this in ruby, perl, python,
ruby, C and some comparison examples with UNIX usual tools like awk,
sed, etc... would be very helpful....

I'm not saying that those small but helpful UNIX tools be replaced by
Ruby but I believed it's very helpful in getting more new users to Ruby
especially when UNIX is not available. Ruby would just provide the best
   alternative.

Maybe there can be a pointer in the FAQ where new users can see tons of
   good examples and comparisons.

   Just a suggestion.

   Thank you for your time.
