I'm sure this is an easy one, but it is getting late in the day and my
creativity thread is not getting as many cycles as it was this morning.

I want to be able to write(print) to an application. I'v seen something
like this in perl with

open("| app")

From the shell I would do

cat msg | sendmail name / address.com

but I want to do this from within Ruby.
If I have msg as a string can I do

f = File.open("| sendmail")
f.puts msg

But, if I do, how do I specify the parameters following sendmail?

Thanks
