I will admit though, I wasn't used to quoting people underneath their posts (unless I was answering many points and interleaving). But I can see its value now, as long as only the most necessary portions are retained. Quoting afterwards is also helpful to keep track of the thread, since date-time stamps and ruby-talk numbering doesn't quite make up for the strange delays which are a side-effect of the internet email system. I think you are being forced to cut-n-paste stuff into your email and as a result you are being terribly inconvenienced. But I doubt that too many others are in that situation.
