It was the new 1.6.2-3 release on www.pragmaticprogrammer.com.  If I click
on the pig or scroll demo they work great.  Thanks for the tip.  As far as
Win2K is concerned, I don't have win98 installed anymore so I can't tell you
if the problem is on other versions.
