I figured most people would take it to ruby-talk first. In the case that they didn't, I had planned on posting it myself on their behalf. You are correct though, and the FAQ should reflect that. It may take a few times until things are running smoothly. I'd like to keep it as a log for matz, and try not to bother him with details too much. Hopefully, I'll even be able to get a good enough feel from the conversation on whether or not he agrees or disagrees, without having to start a whole new thread just to get his views ;).
