Hi, I copied this sample to a test folder. The code warned that "this example depends on the html-parser extension." I: -- downloaded html-parser-2 from http://raa.ruby-lang.org/project/html-parser-2/ -- unpacked the result into a working folder -- ran setup in that folder, -- targeted the output to Ruby\lib\ruby\site_ruby\, which yielded formatter.rb. html-parser.rb and sgml-parser.rb -- ran Dilbert.rb in the SciTE environment under Windows2000Pro -- got following error messages: I:/Program Files/Ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/net/protocol.rb:83:in `connect': undefined method `timeout' for #<Net::InternetMessageIO closed> (NoMethodError) from I:/Program Files/Ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/net/protocol.rb:65:in `initialize' from I:/Program Files/Ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/net/http.rb:422:in `open' from I:/Program Files/Ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/net/http.rb:422:in `do_start' from I:/Program Files/Ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/net/http.rb:409:in `start' from I:/Program Files/Ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/net/http.rb:324:in `start' from dilbert.rb:81:in `getImageData' from dilbert.rb:58:in `initialize' from dilbert.rb:98:in `new' from dilbert.rb:98 I found that there is an htmltest.rb program which I might use to test my installation, but could only find member descriptions for it at http://borges.rubyforge.org/RDoc/files/lib/Borges/Test/HtmlTest_rb.html and no site from which to download it. I'm running ruby 1.8.0 (2003-08-04) [i386-mswin32] Any suggestions? TIA, Richard --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
